Disgraced cricketer Sreesanth was today taken to Jaipur as part of probe into spot-fixing allegations while Rajasthan Royals chairmen Ranjit Barthakur met senior police officials here, a day after the IPL franchise filed a complaint against the player and two others.
Sources said Sreesanth was taken to Marriott Hotel in Rajasthan capital by Delhi Police and brought back as he was to be produced before a court following expiry of remand today.
The sources refused to elaborate on the outcome of the visit, including if the police had seized any material.
Meanwhile, chairperson of Rajasthan Royals, which yesterday gave the boot to Sreesanth and two other tainted players over the spotfixing scandal, met Special Cell officials at Lodhi Road.
Barthakur did not speak to media.
Rajasthan Royals had yesterday filed a complaint with police against Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan, who were arrested last week.
Rajasthan Royals in its complaint had alleged that the three players were indulging in unfair means and breached the contract.
Police have added this and complaints of two from public into the already registered case.
Rajasthan Royals has a match in Delhi today.
Delhi Police Commissioner Neeraj Kumar also went to Special Cell office and was briefed about the developments in the case.
At least 18 people -- three IPL players, four former players and 11 bookies and their assistants -- have been arrested since last Thursday in connection with the scandal that rocked the cricketing world.
