Their semifinal hopes dashed,

South Africa and Sri Lanka's women's cricket teams will eye a consolation victory when they square off in the inconsequential Group A match of ICC World Twenty20 here tomorrow.

The invincible New Zealand ended the semifinal hopes of Proteas by notching up a comfortable seven-wicket win after dismissing South Africa for 99 in 19.3 overs.

That batting disaster aside, South Africa does have a strong line-up. Their opener Trisha Chetty has been among runs, scoring 34 and 35 against Australia and Ireland respectively, and they will be expecting another good show from her.

D van Niekerk, top-scorer with an innings of 45 against Australia, and Lizelle Lee will also look to fire tomorrow as well.

South Africa will expect yet another superlative performance from Luus, who ripped through Ireland batting to restrict them to 89.

Shabnim Ismail, who bagged two Aussie wickets, will also spearhead the South African bowling attack.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka, who are coming into the game after having lost to Australia by nine wickets, would like to end their World Cup campaign on a high being fourth on the table with two points.

The added responsibility to lead the side in the absence Shashikala Siriwardene due to injury, has done a world of good to Chamari Atapattu got some runs under her belt as she scored 22-ball 34 against Ireland.

Being a vital cog in Sri Lanka's top order, Atapattu would like to continue the form in tomorrow's match.

Eshani Lokusuriyage, who scored 35 and 16 against Ireland and Australia, would hope to give her best in Lanka's last encounter.

Sri Lanka's 123 for eight against Australia came on the back of just four batters reaching double figures, and will be a cause of concern for the team that is up against South Africa's sharp bowling attack.
