Sri Lanka win toss, elect to bat

Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal won the toss and elected to bat in their World Twenty20 campaign opener here today.

South Africa left out captain Faf du Plessis who has been suffering from a harmstring strain while fast bowler Dale Steyn recovered from his injury and made it to the playing eleven.

The Teams:

South Africa: AB de Villiers (capt.), Quinton de Kock (wk), Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, Albie Morkel, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Lonwabe Tsotsobe, Imran Tahir.
