Sri Lanka's Minister of State for Defence Ruwan Wijewardene today visited Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) at Vasco town, around 40 kms from here.
Wijewardene held discussion with GSL Chairman and Managing Rear Admiral Shekhar Mital on the progress of Sri Lankan vessels under construction at the yard.
The minister was toured around the yard by the CMD and where he took stock of progress of construction on Sri Lankan Patrol Vessels, a GSL spokesperson said.

A presentation was made to the Sri Lankan delegation on in-house design capability, product profile and future potential of cooperation of the yard with the neighbouring country, the spokesperson added.
GSL is executing large export orders from Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Mauritius and has order book of over Rs 1,200 crore.
