Srikant Jena to head Cong campaign commitee in Odisha

Union Minister Srikant Jena was today made the Chairman of the Congress Campaign Committee for Odisha which will be witnessing assembly polls along with the Lok Sabha elections.

PCC Chief Jaydev Jena, CLP leader Bhupinder Singh, AICC Secretary Bhakta Charan Das, senior leaders Sushila Tirya, K C Lenka, Sarat Patnayak, Laltendu Mahapatra, Ranjib Biswal are among the 24 members of the Committee announced by the AICC today.

Congress is in the opposition in Odisha for the past 15 years since Naveen Patnaik of the BJD came to power. In the last Lok Sabha elections, the faction-ridden Congress could win only six out of 21 seats and 27 out of 147 seats in the Assembly.
