The 21-year-old, who had reached his career-best ranking of No.13 two weeks ago, had lost two out of three matches during India's Thomas Cup campaign at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.
The 2013 Thailand Grand Prix Gold champion, Srikanth lost to Germany's Marc Zweibler in the opening round of the USD 250,000 Japan Open Super Series yesterday.

Interestingly, Kashyap also lost in the first round against a lesser-known Riichi Takeshita of Japan in the Tokyo event yesterday.
Anand Pawar, who was runners-up at Sri Lanka Open, rose five places to 44th place.
In women's singles, Saina Nehwal and P V Sindhu, who skipped the Japan Open after a hectic Uber Cup tournament, held on to their No.8 and No.10 positions respectively.
