Srikanth top male India shuttler at 23; Saina, Sindhu static

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Parupalli Kashyap has jumped a place to the 27th spot while rising shuttler K Srikanth dropped a position to be at No. 23 in the latest men's singles Badminton World Federation rankings released today.

Meanwhile, there has been no change as far as India's top women's shuttlers rankings are concerned.

London Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal has retained her seventh position while P V Sindhu is static at 10th.

Despite going a place down, Srikanth remained the top Indian male shuttler in the table.

Other Indians -- H S Prannoy (No. 31), R M V Gurusaidutt (No. 35), Sourabh Varma (No. 37) -- maintained their respective places in the men's singles rankings.
 

B Sai Praneeth earned three places to reach No. 43 and Anand Pawar gained a position to be at 47th spot.

India star women's doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa have also managed to maintain their position at number 21.

However, there are no Indians featuring in the top-25 of men's and mixed doubles.
