SriLankan Airlines today said it has cancelled four of its Chennai-bound flights in view of the non-stop torrential rains which have forced the South Indian city to close its International airport.
The country's flag carrier said it has suspended four flights to Chennai International Airport which are UL121, UL127, UL123 and UL125, ColomboPage newspaper reported.
The airlines said it will resume flights as soon as Chennai airport resumes operations.

It may operate a few extra flights to facilitate the stranded passengers in Chennai, the carrier said.
The Airline apologised for the inconvenience faced by the passengers.
In view of the water logging, Chennai Airport authorities have shut operations till 6 AM tomorrow. Chennai airport authorities had initially shut operations till this morning but due to incessant rains it has now decided to extend it till 6 AM tomorrow.
