B J Srinath has taken additional charge as Director General of the government's cyber security arm, Computer Emergency Response Team-India (CERT-In).
Srinath, will also continue to serve his duties as G-level scientist, but he is also empowered to take all decisions of Director General (DG).
"I assumed the additional charge as DG on April 1," Srinath told PTI.

CERT-In, which has been operational since January 2004, is the nodal agency for responding to computer security incidents.
