A 15-member mountaineering team of Sashastra Seema Bal today left for Uttarkhand to scale 23,360-feet high Mount Trishul in the state.
Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju flagged off the expedition squad, led by SSB Commandant and experienced climber Sombit Joshi, officials said.
The team is expected to scale peak by the end of this month.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) chief B D Sharma briefed the Minister about the teams' preparation for the expedition.
The SSB is mandated to guard open Indian frontiers with Nepal and Bhutan.
