Delhi University's St Stephen's college has introduced certificate courses in Italian and Korean languages from the upcoming academic session.
"We are introducing certificate courses in Italian and Korean from the 2015-16 academic session. There is also a proposal to introduce Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in these languages from next year," Renish Geevarghese Abraham, Coordinator of the college's School of Languages said.
St Stephen's School of Languages offers part-time Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in five foreign languages for students of DU and the general public.

The courses in Urdu and Persian are run by the college itself. Each course has 40 seats.
"A student will be admitted to only one course at a time. However, Urdu and Persian are open to those who are admitted in other courses," Abraham said.
The admissions to the certificate courses will be open from June 22 to July 4 while the entrance test will be held on July 5.
"For the certificate courses, those securing 75 per cent and above in English are eligible for direct admission while others will have to sit for an entrance test," he added.
For Diploma Courses, a certificate in the relevant language from St Stephen's College or DU is required for admission. Students who have taken a break after certificate course are not eligible for direct admission and are required to appear for the entrance test.
All the courses are of one year duration and weekend batches are also available for French and German courses.
"Language courses are part-time courses and hence the students enrolled in them are not entitled to college library facilities, hostel accommodation or any other facility open to regular students of St Stephen's," Abraham said.
Delhi University also offers full time three year undergraduate programmes in French, Spanish, German and Italian.
