A staffer working at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here has been arrested for allegedly stealing USD 400 from the wallet of a flier during security scanning today.
Officials said the incident was reported around 11:00 AM when the Dubai-bound flier, identified as R Anand, complained to CISF officials that cash of USD 400 (over Rs 27,000) was missing from his wallet when he collected it after security checks done at terminal-III before boarding.
The CISF officials went through the CCTV footage of the security-hold area and detected that the staffer, identified as Asif Khan working as loader, stole the money from the wallet when it was kept in the tray.

The Aerodrome Entry Permit (AEP) of the said loader will be cancelled, they added.
