Veteran stage and movie artiste S Ve Shekher has been honoured with a lifetime achievement award by the Tamil Association of Greater Delaware Valley (TAGDV) in Philadelphia for his work.
Shekher holds the world record of completing 5800 stage shows and is known for his charity endeavours.
Former tennis player Julian Krinsky presented the award to Swamy on behalf of TAGDV.
Kar Muthumani, President of TAGDV praised the services of Shekher as a former member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in eradicating poverty, educating girls and orphans and providing shelter to the aged and homeless.
