Stage set for Piramal Realty's flower show

The replica of the first train that chugged out of Boribunder to Thane, the beauty of the Boot House at Hanging Gardens and the beautiful indigo colours and the origami flowers around the art installation of Mahatma Gandhi will adorn this years Piramal Realty's Vaikunth flower show which opens tomorrow.

"The display of over one million flowers under the theme 'Blue-gold-Indigo' the flower of freedom, will serve as a fitting tribute to Champaran Satyagraha championed by Mahatma Gandhi," Piramal Enterprises, vice chairperson, Dr Swati Piramal and ED of Piramal Group Anand Piramal told mediapersons here today.

The preparations for the show were initiated way back in January 2016 and we have considered every minute thing to make it lively and make it the best show in the country, she said.
 

The show comprises of over 22 themed gardens, 5,000 hand painted lanterns by children and Blue Gold Bazaar inspired by indigo flower, to entertain guests of all ages.

In its first year the Vaikunth flower show welcomed approximately 50,000 visitors, including hundreds of children and this year too we have invited children from various schools, including the special schools and those suffering from cancer, she declared.

There will also be a revolving show of the important places of Mumbai including Rajabai Tower and CST among others, she said.
