"The state is not sensitive towards the plight of the displaced, many have already lost land to public sectors while others are on the brink of losing," Marandi said while addressing a public meeting at Lalpania of the district.
Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric-JVM) would take up the matter with the Centre, he said.
Marandi said the standard of life of the people in Bermo coal belt of the district "is pathetic, and Union coal ministry should come forward in addressing their problems".
"Industries earn over Rs 15,000 crore every year, but people of Jharkhand remain poor for the faulty policies of the government," Marandi said.
