Jharkhand Urban Development and Housing Minister C P Singh today lamented that the standard of editorial of a newspaper has declined.
The standard of newspaper editorial in bygone days was very important as it was used to be written with a direction on development but now it has declined.
Addressing 'Clean India Foundation's foundation day and journal releasing ceremony, Singh, however, admitted that the media alerted the government on various issues.

Talking in a lighter vein, Singh said no one talks straight as nobody likes to listen to the truth and that way the seat of a legislator comes under stress.
Singh gave another light moment when he cited an example as to how a scooter owner tried to dodge a traffic policeman after flouting rules saying he voted for a certain MLA.
He urged the people cooperate with the government.

media should show credibility while reporting.
Clean Media Foundation Chairman Professor Sudhark Dixit said media was discharging its role with industrious zeal "but due to commercial reasons, reporters were not being given full independence to use their pen".
