Student housing focused platform Stanza Living is learnt to have raised USD 50 million (about Rs 350 crore) in Series C funding round led by Falcon Edge Capital.
The Series C round also saw participation from existing marquee investors Sequoia Capital, Matrix Partners and Accel Partners.
"To build our capabilities and strengthen footprint, we are considering a healthy balance of organic and inorganic growth measures, including potential acquisitions of competitors. We will be deploying a significant part of the raised capital towards these efforts," Stanza Living Managing Director and co-founder Anindya Dutta said in a statement without disclosing the funding amount.
People close to the development said on condition of anonymity that the company has raised close to USD 50 million in the latest round.
Stanza Living has presence across key education hubs of Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Indore, Vadodara and Dehradun. It is targeting an inventory of one lakh beds by 2021.
The company has committed an investment of Rs 250 crore to strengthen its pan-India presence, the statement said.
