Starbucks launches app; allows customers to pay via mobile

Tata Starbucks today introduced an app across the country, offering customers the option of paying through mobile phones for in-store purchases.

The Starbucks India mobile app also helps customers earn loyalty programme points using the mobile device, Starbucks said in a statement here.

The app is available for download on iPhone and Android devices. In addition to mobile payment, the app allows customers to register for the My Starbucks Rewards program.

LinEngage expands presence in Delhi

LinEngage, the activation and experiential marketing agency of MullenLowe Lintas Group, today said it has expanded its presence in Delhi to cater to clients in North India.
 

It has appointed Gagan Pal Singh Nagi as VP and Business Head - North. He would head the Gurgaon office and report to Sriharsh Grandhe, Executive VP, who runs LinEngage in India, the company said.

PropUrban sets up offices in London, Dubai, Chennai, Hyderabad

Online-to-offline (O2O) platform PropUrban today said it has set up offices in cities like London, Dubai, Chennai and Hyderabad to support the growth of its domestic and overseas businesses.

"With offices in Chennai and Hyderabad, we aim to promote our channel partners' properties locally as well as in the global markets. On the other hand, we are targeting NRIs and other investors who are looking at cross-border investments through our Dubai and London offices," its Founder and CEO Mir Jaffer Ali said in a statement here.

The global advisory firm will also assist clients and sell UK inventory to Indian clients which will yield higher return on investment.

Panchshil introduces prefabricated bath pods for Pune project

To reduce construction timelines, Panchshil Realty has started off-site manufacturing of prefabricated bath pods for its residential project 'Panchshil Towers' at Kharadi in Pune.

"With the bath pods, we are looking at transforming the scale of construction of bathrooms and washrooms for medium and large-scale premium projects.

"This technique will significantly reduce construction timelines for all developers," Panchshil Realty Chairman Atul Chordia said in a statement here.

He said bathroom pods are prefabricated entirely off-site in a separate facility, and then transported to and fitted into the designated area.

Future Generali ties up with UCO Bank

Future Generali India Insurance (FGII) has entered into a corporate agency tie-up for its products with UCO Bank.

Through the tie-up, Future Generali will offer its health and personal accident, motor, travel, home and rural insurance products across 3,050 branches of the state-owned lender, a company statement said.

"We aim to offer insurance products to the bank's customers and enter new markets. The bank is headquartered in Kolkata and through this tie-up we aim to widen our customer outreach to eastern India," KG Krishnamoorthy Rao, MD and CEO of FGII, said.

Royal Sundaram launches 2-wheeler long-term package policy

Royal Sundaram General Insurance, a private sector general insurance company, today said it has launched a two- wheeler long-term package policy.

The product offers extended protection for a period of 2 or 3 years upon payment of a single premium unaffected by the annual rate hike.

The policy will cover the accidental loss or damage to the two-wheeler and also covers liability to third parties and personal accidental cover, the company said.
