Actress Mischa Barton has said that sometimes she regrets starring in hit American teen drama series 'The OC' at a young age.
The 28-year-old actress, who first played Marissa Cooper in 2003, struggled to deal with fame at a young age and has now advised rising stars to keep their personal lives as private as possible, reported Metro online.
"It's something I came so close to not doing. I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have, but it certainly was not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be.
"It's tough. It's really tough when you are young in this business. People blow a lot of hot air at you. That's the main thing. Keep your head on your shoulders. Even when you think your head is on your shoulders, sometimes it isn't," Barton said.
