The start of the third cricket Test between India and Australia, scheduled to be held here from today, has been indefinitely delayed due to heavy downpour.
The toss could not take place as per schedule due to the inclement weather.
The Indian team was learnt to have returned back to the hotel even as the Australians enjoyed a cup of tea, after the outfield was rendered wet due to incessant rain, barely hours before the start of the match at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.
