Newly-formed Federation of Startup Foundation (StartFed) will mentor budding start-ups from the city, besides giving access to various networks for support on areas like financing, marketing among others.
Chief mentor of StartFed Kallol Datta, former CMD of Andrew Yule, said industry leaders across sectors have joined the federation to provide support to the entrepreneurs who were having a viable business idea.
Other mentors of the group were former chairman of NTPC Arup Roy Chowdhury, former CMD of Coal India Partha Bhattacharya, former MD of Praxair Indrajeet Mookherjee, former president of TCG Aniruddha Lahiri, founder of JIS Group Taranjit Singh and former CMD of NMDC Rana Som among others.

"Entrepreneurs will get a 360 degree support from the federation in terms of secretarial support, accounting support, angel funding support and marketing support," he told reporters here today.
Datta said StartFed is a not-for-profit organisation and would organise events in the entire eastern region including Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim and the North East.
