The Maharashtra Assembly witnessed frequent disruptions for the second consecutive day today after Opposition demanded suspension of Question Hour to discuss Maratha reservation issue and resignation of Dairy Development Minister Mahadeo Jankar over a poll related case.

The disruptions led to three major adjournments as the Opposition members entered the well of the House and indulged in slogan shouting demanding suspension of Question Hour.

Leader of Opposition, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil (Congress), Vijay Wadettiwar (Congress) Jayant Patil, Dilip Walse Patil both NCP) and others were on their feet as soon as the House assembled to demand suspension of Question Hour and taking up the issue of reservation for Maratha community which took out a big morcha (silent march) today in Nagpur to press for their demand.

Wadettiwar demanded resignation of Jankar who was booked in a poll related issue in Wadsa Desai Ganj (Gadchiroli) and said Opposition has already given a notice for discussion.

Vikhe Patil questioned the wisdom of Shiv Sena members for sporting saffron turban in the house. He said being a partner in the ruling combine, it was not appropriate on their part to wear turban which resembles some occasion for celebrations.

He suggested Shiv Sena members to instead sport black ribbons against the BJP.

The House witnessed first adjournment for 15 minutes and second for 26 minutes and third of 40 minutes.

Opposition often entered the well of the House and continued with slogan shouting thereby disrupting the proceedings.
