With an aim to bring banking facility at the doorstep of customers, State Bank of Travancore here has launched a new mobile ATM in Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala's capital.
The ATM is installed in a mobile air-conditioned van equipped with uninterrupted power, CCTV and guarded security with satellite connectivity.
The mobile ATM, which also serves as an Information Kiosk to public to help them know about banking products and services, moves from place to place in the city, delivering customers safe and swift banking, a release said here today.

The public sector bank major launched the mobile ATM as an Independence Day gift to city dwellers, it said.
The inauguration and flagging-off of the Mobile ATM van was done on Saturday by the Managing Director of the Bank, Jeevandas Narayan and the first transaction done by E.K. Harikumar, Chief General Manager (Retail Banking) at Head Office, Poojapura, the release added.
With the launch of Mobile ATM, SBT adds one more ATM to its network of 1632 ATMs linked to State Bank Group ATM network, the largest ATM network in the country.
