Punjab BJP today condemned the "murderous attack" on Raja Joshi, younger brother of BJP leader and Cabinet Minister Anil Joshi, and some other party workers at Tarn Taran and termed it as "dirty display of power".
In a statement here, Punjab BJP chief Kamal Sharma said the party would not bear such acts on the part of anyone and condemn those murderous acts at all levels.
He said he has also spoken to Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal over the issue and conveyed feelings of the entire state unit over the episode.
The party has also called an urgent meeting of the core group tomorrow to decide further course of action.
The state BJP chief said after Joshi showed him the entire video footage of the attack, party high command in Delhi was also immediately apprised about it today.
Sharma said this unfortunate episode was set back for the democratic processes in the state in which Akali councillors and other party leaders attacked the leaders and workers of its alliance partner in broad daylight in the administrative complex just outside the office of the DC.
