State funeral to be accorded to Munde tomorrow in Beed

A state funeral will be accorded to Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde, who died in a road accident here early this morning, at his native Parli in Maharashtra tomorrow.

"Government has decided that state funeral would be accorded to late Gopinath Munde. Funeral will take place at his home town in Beed district tomorrow," a Home Ministry spokesperson said.

The government also decided that there would be no official entertainment today.

Earlier, the government has decided that national flag would be flown half mast today in Delhi and capitals of States and Union Territories as a mark of respect for Munde.
 

The national flag will be flown half mast tomorrow at the place where Munde's last rites will be performed.

64-year-old Munde died apparently of shock and cardiac arrest suffered during a road accident while on his way to the airport to take a flight to Mumbai.
