Press Trust of India Chennai
: MDMK leader Vaiko today rubbished the possibility of instability in Tamil Nadu in the wake of the health condition of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, said to remain in 'a grave situation' after a cardiac arrest.

He said those harbouring such thoughts were living in a fool's paradise.

"No. There is no instability. No instability will happen. Some people may be building castles in the air. But they are living in a fool's paradise. Whoever thinks that there will be uncertainty, and instability and (who hope to) could exploit, I pity for them," he told reporters after visiting Apollo Hospitals to enquire about Jayalalithaa 's health.

Recalling his long association with Jayalalithaa apart from party politics, he said he had a personal rapport with her and regarded her as his sister and vice versa.

I hope and I wish she will come out," he said referring to her present situation like she recovered from the earlier bout of illness.

Barely two hours after Apollo Hospital said in an official statement that Jayalalithaa "continues to be very critical," it said she remains remains in a "grave situation" in spite of the best efforts of doctors.
