A commando of the West Bengal police was killed after being knocked down by a truck in distrift headquarters town of Purulia today.
SP N Sudhirkumar said the 25-year was hit by the goods-laden truck in the morning hours while on duty and declared dead at hospital.
The commando Sumit das hailed from North 24 parganas district.
Police were yet to trace the truck driver who sped away with the vehicle.
