The state unit of Tamil Nadu Congress Committee's student's wing has been dissolved in the wake of certain allegations against office bearers holding the posts, party sources said.
However, the units at the district-level would continue to function, they said.
"The state wing has been dissolved after obtaining the consent of AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Accordingly, the 10 office bearers, including students wing state unit President, Treasurer and Secretary have been removed from their posts," party sources told PTI.
They said elections would soon be held for posts and office bearers removed from their posts would not be eligible to contest it.
