# Virat Kohli became the third Indian skipper to amass 1000 runs or more in a calendar year - 1112 runs (ave.79.42) in 11 Tests. He has joined Rahul Dravid - 1095 runs (ave.60.83) in 12 Tests in 2006 and Sachin Tendulkar - 1000 runs (ave.62.50) in 12 Tests in 1997.

# Murali Vijay's 136 is his eighth century in Tests - his third vs England.
# Before this hundred vs England in Tests, he had scored 146 at Nottingham in July 2014 and 126 at Rajkot last month against them.
# In all seven centuries have been registered by the Indian openers in Tests at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. # Kohli is the second Indian batsman to hit double
