"It will be better if the ministers of both JD(U) and BJP in Bihar stay away from making comments on the issue of alliance (Gatbhandhan)," he told reporters here.
Modi said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had already clarified the situation on the matter yesterday.
"From now on, the issue of alliance an authorised person be to be party presidents or spokespersons can clarify," he said.
Modi asked the ministers to concentrate on highlighting the achievements of NDA government in Bihar.
"The alliance between JD(U) and BJP is strong, old and mature. Both the parties are capable of resolving their problems," he said, adding RJD president Lalu Prasad would not benefit out of any dispute within the NDA.
