As part of Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Stempeutics Research, a group company of Manipal Education and Medical Group, in conjunction with Indigo Airlines, flew 20 underprivileged NGO kids from here to Hyderabad.
The children from Rays of Hope, a registered charitable trust here, visited the Film City in Hyderabad.
The employees took this initiative as their individual social responsibility, Stempeutics said in a release.

"Despite the advent of open skies and multiple low cost airlines, there remains a certain segment of society that has only viewed airplanes with fascination and can only dream about travelling in one..... We wanted these kids to experience the unique high of travelling through the clouds," Stempeutics General Manager (HR & Shared Services) Vijayaraghavan said in a statement here.
"CSR isn't a particular programme, it's what we do every day with help of organizations like Stempeutics Research, maximizing positive impact and minimizing negative impact," Rays of Hope Managing Trustee Graciya Alexander said.
Ten-year-old A Vimal said it was a great experience to fly for the first time, which he always dreamt of.
Ten-year-old A Dinesh said the plane ride was a big adventure for children, was so beautiful that clouds looked like cotton candy and mountains small.
