Despite his taped confession, actor Stephen Collins will reportedly not be prosecuted on child molestation charges.
The 67-year-old '7th Heaven' star will likely avoid charges due to the statute of limitations, law enforcement reported TMZ.
Earlier this month, an audiotape emerged of Collins admitting to three separate incidents in which he molested or exposed himself to young girls.

He was recorded by his estranged wife Faye Grant during a 2012 therapy session. Two of the incidents allegedly occurred in New York, and one in Los Angeles.
After the audio surfaced, the NYPD and the LAPD both began investigating the allegations, including NYPD officials speaking with the alleged victim in a 1972 Manhattan incident involving a 14-year-old girl.
Earlier this week, the Los Angeles County's Sheriff's Department announced it had also opened an investigation into one of the abuse allegations, a 1983 incident in which he allegedly exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl who was his neighbour at the time.
After the audiotape surfaced, the alleged victim reported the crime October 9.
But because the incidents happened several decades ago, law enforcement sources from all three departments say that the cases will go unprosecuted.
