Stephen Fry seeks medical advice for spider bite

Actor Stephen Fry has sought medical attention for a spider bite.

The 55-year-old St Trinian's star sustained the injury earlier this week and he is now on a 10-day course of antibiotics to treat the ailment.

In a series of posts on his Twitter page before his doctor's appointment, Fry wrote, "Bite mark now hot and huge. Shall have my spider bite looked at it in case it's a Brown Recluse spider and I get necrosis and ulceration."

Returning to the site after the consultation, the star posted, "Heavens: antihistamine cream, hydro cortisone and a ten day course of antibiotics - all for a little nip from an incy wincy spider (sic).
