The 55-year-old British funnyman started to experience breathing problems at the event, and had to ask guests around him for help.
Fry, who is known for his work in movies "Wilde" and double act "Fry and Laurie", later took to Twitter to say that he was feeling better.
"Just had a surprise asthma attack at a screening. Got up to ask if anyone had an inhaler: so many hands went up. Saved," Fry posted.
The actor was last seen in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows".
Fry is currently shooting Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" in which he will play the role of Master of Lake-town.
