As high as 7.80 lakh pages of rare documents of back up volumes, annual reports, thesis works and rare books on agriclture, have been digitised through a project on "Strenghtening of digital libraries and information Management", sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Through this project, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) libraries were geared up towards automation, R Vijayaraghavan, Special Officer (Publications and Public Relations) and Consortium Co-principal investigator of the project, said in a release here today.
A three-day national workshop and hands-on-training to library professional of state Agricultural Universities and ICAR Institutes of southern states was underway in TNAU from yesterday, he said.
