Currently, 96 services offered by over 20 departments are in the ambit of the Delhi Right of Citizen to Time Bound Delivery of Services Act which went into force on September 15 last year.
Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said the number of services to be made available under the Act would go upto 200 by March, 2013.
Addressing a seminar on e-governance attended by senior officials of her administration, Dikshit asked them to improve service delivery at all levels of governance.
As per provisions of the Time Bound Delivery of Services Act, officials are liable to pay financial penalty of Rs 10 per day up to a maximum of Rs 200 to applicants if they fail to deliver services like issuance of ration card, driving license and electricity connection within the stipulated time-frame.
Under the Act, citizens can file application online to get the services being provided under eSLA (electronic Service Level Agreement).
Around a dozen MLAs also attended the seminar.
