The release of Steve Jobs' biopic starring Ashton Kutcher has been delayed since the makers of the film require more time to market the film.

The film was originally set to release on April 19 this year, the 37th anniversary of the founding of Apple Computer.

A new date has yet to be determined, said the Hollywood Reporter.

The much-anticipated biopic, directed by Joshua Michael Stern and written by Matthew Whitely, made its world premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival.

"Jobs" chronicles the Apple co-founder's ascension from college dropout to one of the most revered entrepreneurs of the 20th century known for pioneering personal computer revolution.

Portions of the film was shot in the garage where Jobs first set up shop at his family's home in Palo Alto, California.

The film also stars Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, JK Simmons and Matthew Modine.
