The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested an arms smuggler from Mufassil police station area in Bihar's Nawada district and recovered 10 country-made pistols from him, a police officer said today.
The STF sleuths along with the local police intercepted a Dhanbad-bound passenger bus last night and nabbed the smuggler Aas Mohammand, Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Sanjay Kumar Pandey said.
The smuggler was carrying a consignment of ten country-made pistols and magazines, he said.
The smuggler, a native of Munger district, was travelling to Dhanbad (Jharkhand) to deliver the weapons to a client there, he said.
