The Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh police today arrested a sharpshooter allegedly involvedin the murder of Congress leader and former deputy mayor of Dhanbad, Neeraj Singh and three others.
The STF's Varanasi unit and the Dhanbad police jointly arrested Kurban Ali, a native of UP's Sultanpur district, who also carried a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head, near Cantt Railway station, STF Inspector Shailesh Pratap Singh said.
Singh was gunned down along with his personal assistant Ashok Yadav, bodyguard Munna Tiwari and driver Gholtu Mahto on March 21 in Saraidhela police station area of Dhanbad in Jharkhand when he was returning from Jharia coal belt in his car.

The shooters had indiscriminately fired bullets from an AK-47 rifle on Singh's car. More than 20 bullet marks were found on the vehicle.
The STF had arrested the main sharpshooter, Aman Singh, and his accomplice Abhinav Singh from Mirzapur district last month.
