The girl, rescued in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, last week, was today handed over to her parents by the Railway Court.
The court also remanded Raju in the custody of Government Railway Police till July 18.
Police said that during the initial interrogation, Raju told them that he took care of the girl, Sangita, while she was with him.
"Raju said he bought milk and Horlics for her," said Senior Police Inspector Surendranath Deshmukh.
He even bought talcum powder for her. When police asked him about the brand, he said: 'Sharukh Khan wala powder (the powder endorsed by Shahrukh Khan)', said Deshmukh.
There was no mark of any kind of assault on the child, according to Deshmukh. Accused did not seem to be of unsound mind, he added.

In the court, Raju kept saying "mujse galti ho gayi" (I made a mistake).
Pushpa, the girl's mother, was ecstatic on seeing her after a month. "We are very happy and relieved to get our daughter back after a month. We missed her a lot," she said.
Raju allegedly stole the girl from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus here on June 10, when she and her parents were asleep on the platform after missing a night train.
CCTV footage led to identification and arrest of Raju at Haridwar.
