Acting on a tip off, police carried out a raid in Rubdih village and recovered the boy from the house of one Asma Khatun.
Khatun was arrested on the charge of stealing the boy of Sonam Devi who had given birth to him in the hospital on May 13 last, police said.
She told the police that she had bought the boy from a nurse for her childless daughter.
The boy was handed over to his mother.
