A special operation group team of district police intercepted a van near near Majahuliraj bridge and recovered the stolen statue yesterday, Superintendent of Police L Ravi Kumar said.
A 1.5-kg precious ashtadhatu statue of Parashuram was stolen from Sohnag temple in Salempur area on October 19, he said.
All four passengers of the vehicle were arrested, he said.
