Singer Zayn Malik has fallen out with his musical collaborator Naughty Boy, telling him to "stop pretending we're friends".

The 22-year-old former One Direction star, who was seemingly upset after a brief snippet of his new music video "No Type" mysteriously appeared online, took to Twitter to slam the musician, reported The Daily Mirror.

"@NaughtyBoyMusic you fat joke stop pretending we're friends no one knows you.

"Someone learned how to upload a video... Maybe now he should learn how to use logic... Faker," Malik wrote.

Earlier, Naughty Boy had cryptically posted on Twitter, "don't feed the hand that bites you."

Naughty Boy and Malik initially co-wrote songs for One Direction's fourth album and were in talks to make music together after Malik's split from the band.

Malik is currently working on his upcoming solo album, with producers working on the record in studios in Los Angeles.
