At least 11 girl students were injured when six stray dogs went on a biting spree inside a government college campus, officials said.
The hostel students of Kunthavai Naacchiyar Government Arts College ran into the classrooms on seeing the pack of dogs, but 11 of them were bitten and had to be hospitalised, they said.
The incident traumatised one student, who is married, so much that she had an abortion, hospital sources said.
All the dogs have since been rounded up.
