Strict measures by FIFA and Police for Brazil-England semis

Having witnessed the euphoria during Brazils quarterfinal win here, FIFA and the local authorities are taking some stringent measures to avoid any untoward incident during their U-17 World Cup semifinal against England tomorrow.

The FIFA has asked the Brazil team not to go near galleries for celebrations as it was seen that water pouches were hurled after Paulinho struck the 77th minute winner on October 22.

"FIFA has just warned us not to go near the stands and celebrate. Nothing serious," a Brazil team official said referring to the incident.

Meanwhile, the Bidhannagar Police will use body camera for constant monitoring of the crowd tomorrow.
 

"After Brazil's second goal against Germany some people misbehaved so body cameras will be installed to take strict action against the offender," Santosh Pandey, DC Head Quarters and Bidhannagar, said.

"It will be used for constant monitoring also Airport- bound vehicles will be Diverted via Rajarhat route," he added.
