Considering threat perception to BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh police have taken all necessary precautions and put security measures in place to avoid any untoward incident during his rallies in the state today.
"Modi is the target of Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terror outfits...That is the general threat perception (on him) we have got and accordingly we are taking precautions," Director General of Police B Prasada Rao told reporters.
Modi is scheduled to address four public meetings in Telangana region -- Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar and Hyderabad city today.

"He is a high-profile leader. We are aware about the kind of threat he is facing and accordingly we have been taking precautionary measures. Today he is addressing public meetings at four places in the state and all security measures are in place," Rao said.
Replying to a query, he said that they had not received any specific intelligence input in this regard.
