Strides Shasun shares zoom 11.5% on robust Q2 earnings

Shares of drug firm Strides Shasun today soared 11.5 per cent after the company reported over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit during the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The stock zoomed 11.31 per cent to end at Rs 1,046.05 on BSE. Intra-day, it advanced 12.26 per cent to Rs 1,055.

At NSE, shares of the company jumped 11.45 per cent to close at Rs 1,045.95.

Drug firm Strides Shasun today reported over two-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 74.09 crore during the second quarter ended September 30, on account of higher sales.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 35.81 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
 

The company's total income from operations went up by 33.34 per cent to Rs 953.47 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 715.06 crore in the year-ago period, Strides Shasun said in a BSE filing.
