The over a month long strike by employyes at Gita Press here was today called off after the management agreed to most of the demands of its employees including pay hike following talks between both sides.
On behalf of the management, trustee Ishwar Patwari informed the employees that their demands would be met but suspension of five casual employees will not be revoked.
Workers re-joined their duties following the end of the strike today, Patwari said, adding that the press witnessed losses and their was a lot of work backlog due to the strike.

The employees of the over 90-year-old publication house were on strike since August 8 to press for their demands including pay hike and revocation of suspension of 12 regular and five casual employees.
