Terming the strike called by its employees unions over the wage issue as "not right", Neyveli Lignite Corp (NLC) today said it is paying better salary than other PSUs and asked the unions to reconsider their decision.
"Already they (employees) are getting better pay than others. Coal India is there. BHEL is there. SAIL is there. They (employees) have to compare. Slightly, we are offering better (pay) than other companies," NLC Chairman and Managing Director B Surender Mohan told reporters here.
"They (employees) must come to a conclusion. It is not right to go on strike," he added.

"It is not a good thing. Because we are supplying power for Tamil Nadu and also to other States. It (Power generation) will get affected. I feel that our Union leaders should consider all these things," Mohan added.
