Hundreds of employees of the Kalwa division of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) went on a flash strike and demonstrated in front of the office today, to protest against an alledged assault on one of its employees by a shop owner.
Last evening, the Kalwa police arrested the dairy owner who allegedly assaulted the worker after he asked the shopkeeper to clear his pending payments, sources said.
Sandesh Patil (35) was given the task of collecting pending bills as a part of an year-end collection drive, assistant police inspector S A Bagul of the Kalwa police station said.
